Happy New Year! I hope 2018 is filled with feasting your eyes on great works of art.
For David Henty Art, the year has already started with a bang. As well as various commissions, I’ve been invited by Saga onto a 20-night cruise, following in the footsteps of the world’s most famous artists. Stops en route include a visit to Picasso’s birthplace, Cezanne’s studio and the famous Uffizi Gallery in Florence plus I’ll be giving lectures and demonstrations whilst on board. I’m also hosting an exhibition at Cloud Gallery during April – more details of this to follow.
With a busy year ahead, I’ll have my head down, brush in hand immersing myself in some of the most challenging works of art to date. These include Chaim Soutine, whose birthday is on the 13th January. To coincide with his exhibition at the Courtauld, I will be recreating his series of extraordinary portraits of cooks, waiters and bellboys.
Here’s to 2018 where David Henty Art will be displayed around the world in galleries, hotels, restaurants and, most importantly, your homes.
