This pandemic has scuppered most peoples’ holiday plans and with the prospect of a coronavirus second wave it’s time to get out and shop art while we can. I’ve been working on some different projects throughout lockdown, not just forgeries but David Henty Originals too. I’m a huge boxing fan, so I’ve been looking for some great images that can be – to coin a brand new phrase! – Caravaggiolized. With some fantastic boxing characters, and notorious weigh-in clashes, there’s immense inspiration for producing modern day Caravaggio style art. Painting of the Month THE ROLLING STONES

We’ve got something different for you this month, a David Henty Original! I love the Rolling Stones, they’re one of my ‘go to’ bands when I’m struggling to access my creative side. I put on a track by the Rolling Stones or watch Shine a Light by Martin Scorsese (my favourite film!) and the cogs being to whir! I’ve been lucky enough to have seen the Rolling Stones in concert many times, the energy and flamboyancy that oozes out of their live performances is nothing less than mind blowing. Well, we’re already halfway through 2020, a year that we can safely say has been like no other. Thankfully the art market at least is back in full swing – our private viewing room is open and galleries across the UK have now also opened their doors. At the end of June I was invited to celebrate The Midsummer Festival on the Pier – all at a social distance of course. Brighton’s Latest T.V. put on a great show for the #supportourvenues. The charity is part of a national initiative launched by the music venue trust to prevent the closure of hundreds of independent music venues.
